Carl Allen Farr (1880-1961)

17 April 1911: Carl Allen Farr was baptized by Jacob Benjamin Higginson Jr and confirmed by Alvin L. Bailey

Carl Allen Farr was born in Maryville, Tennessee, in 1880, and was baptized, in 1911. He married Effie Cordelia Tanner in 1904. Effie, who is from Altamont, Tennessee, was baptized in 1896. It is unknown if they had any children who survived to adulthood. There is a small gravestone that has been found in the Altamont Cemetery in Tennessee with the name of their baby daughter Zella. A record found in the East Tennessee Conference of the Southern States Mission noted that Carl Allen Farr had “gone West” with his family some time after his baptism. Carl died in Tennessee, in 1961, at the age of 80. He is buried in the Altamont Cemetery. Effie died in Texas, in 1965, at the age of 87. She is buried with Carl in the Altamont Cemetery.


Laura Walker (1880-1965)

23 August 1914: Laura Walker was baptized by Frank Sullivan and confirmed by George Alma Sampson

Laura Walker (Phelan) was born in an unidentified town in Blount County in 1880. She was baptized in the summer of 1914, at the age of 34. She married Thomas Phelan at an unknown date. It is not known if they had any children together. Laura died in Knoxville, in 1965, at the age of 84. She is buried in Goshen Cemetery in Belmont, North Carolina.


William C. Bonham (1852-UNK)

3 August 1902: William C. Bonham was baptized and confirmed by Howard Hoskins Hale

William C. Bonham was born in Maryville, Tennessee. He married Sarah Cormoney in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1871. It is unknown if they had any children together or where they are buried. William was baptized in 1902. 


Jesse Simeon Brown (1874-1944)

28 August 1916: Jesse Simeon Brown was baptized by Charles Love Flake Jr. and confirmed by James Baron

Jesse Simeon Brown was born in Cades Cove, Tennessee, according to his baptismal record. In 1916, he was baptized by Charles Love Flake, who was killed three years later in Siberia during World War I. Jesse Brown married Mary Sadie Poor in 1899. They had one daughter together, Eva Wilma Brown, who was baptized in 1916. Eva’s husband, James Cisero Morgan, was baptized in1911. They had five children together, three of which were baptized in the 1930s. Jesse Brown died in Mayland, Tennessee, in 1944, at the age of 70. 


Synthia Catherine Elliott (1866-1947)

23 July 1916: Synthia Catherine Elliott was baptized and confirmed by August Emanuel Hedin 

Synthia Catherine Elliott was born in Chilhowie, Tennessee. She married Joel Clingman in Robbinsville, North Carolina, in 1884. Joel was baptized in 1917. They had 11 children together, 10 of which survived to adulthood. At least six of their children were baptized members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Synthia died in Robbinsville, in 1947, at the age of 81. She is buried in First United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hayesville, North Carolina. Joel died in 1938, at the age of 82, and is buried with Synthia in First United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Robert Madison (UNKNOWN) 

27 March 1935: Robert Madison was baptized by Clifford Olene Weaver and confirmed by Ralph William Horrocks

Robert Madison was born in Maryville, Tennessee, on May 16, 1908, according to his baptismal record. His father is Hugh Madison. His mother is Nola Gembrey. His records have not yet been identified on Family Search.

Charles Milus Kilburn (1904-1963)

15 April 1914: Charles Milus Kilburn was baptized by Louis Henry Laney and confirmed by Clarence Hyrum Yates 

Charles Milus Kilburn was born in 1904. He was baptized in Townsend, Tennessee, in 1914. He married Mary Nola Vandiver in 1925. They had at least one daughter together. Charles died in 1963, at the age of 58. He is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Lawrence, Tennessee. Mary died in Michigan, in 1977, at the age of 67. She also is buried in Greenwood Cemetery.


Lila Teffeteller (1898-1964) – 1st Generation Member

9 March 1918: Lila Tefeteller was baptized and confirmed by Loren Joseph Blain 

Lila Teffeteller (Word) was born in Maryville, Tennessee. She was baptized in March 1918 and married James William Word in August of the same year. They had at least six children together. Lila died in 1964, at the age of 66. She is buried in Pine Grove Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Greenback, Tennessee. 


Susie Mellisa Rouse (1879-1927) – 1st Generation Member

14 July 1918: Susie Mellisa Rouse was baptized by Hugh Hamilton Service and confirmed by Mernice Linton Griner

Susie Mellisa Rouse (Sills) was born in Wauhatchie, Tennessee, in 1879. She married James Henry Sills, in 1896. She was baptized in Maryville, in 1918. They were the parents of at least four sons and one daughter. She died in 1927, at the age of 47. Susie is buried in Forest Hills Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
